For your safety the lid on a frigidaire top load washer cannot be opened during the spin cycle. There is the door latch which can fracture or get jammed. Examine your washer s tech sheet to determine which wires to cut. If the washer is a good model the five indicator lights of door lock wash rinse final spin and control will flash the number of times for the first digit of the code and the start indicator light will flash the number of times for the second digit.

For stainless steel dishwashers press delay start until the display window displays loc. To open it simply stop the washer and wait 1 to 3 minutes for the safety lock to release. If the control lock feature isn t engaged and the lock light continues to stay lit or flash try to perform a power reset. Scan the included wiring diagram until you find the wires labelled lid switch and lock switch the majority of washing machine lid lock switches are powered by 3 or 4 wires each of which performs a different function.
