Fluorescent Light Dimming Problem

Here we suggest the steps to follow to determine if the problem is a loose bulb or lamp or a defective one that needs to be replaced. With the passage of time the fluorescent lamps start but glows dimly may flicker slightly but constantly and may exhibit rings of bright and dim light that appear to move up and down the length of the lamp. Consider the steps to fix the problem. We ve had problems for years we are fluorescent lights dimming or not coming on at times of high humidity.

One way to eliminate the problem of dim or flickering fluorescent lights that are controlled by a motion detector is to have the motion detector trigger a small 120 volt control relay and have the light fixture controlled through the contacts of the control relay not the motion detector. What we ve seen over the last few years with the challenges of properly dimming leds are simply growing pains and fortunately as an industry we appear to be past a lot of the significant problems. This is been going on for several years and just recently the lights are getting harder and harder to turn on. Flickering or dimming lights might indicate a dangerous condition risking a building fire or an electrical shock.

When one or more fluorescent light fixtures are humming or flickering or if the light simply won t turn on the problem may be something as simple as a bad fluorescent bulb.
